Island Batik Box Opening

If you have not heard already, I am an ambassador this year for Island Batik fabric company. You should go check out all the amazing, colorful and gorgeous batiks at: Island Batik website You can even check out where their batiks are sold by looking at the "store locations" tab.

I have used batiks in my quilting journey but since I have done more foundation paper piecing I had stepped away from the majority of them. This last year I picked up a few out of my stash and made a few quilts. I realized how much I miss the water color like effect they make in the quilts. So, when I saw that Island Batik was doing an ambassador call, I went out on a limb and I applied. It has just re-ignited my love for batiks.

I recently received the boxes from Island Batik so here is the exciting video of my box opening. Just be warned I am not completely comfortable in front of the camera yet and am still getting use to it.

Thank you to Island Batik and the sponsors in the boxes:

I am so excited for next months quilt, using the gorgeous Bits and Pieces from the fall 22 collection, designed by Kathy Engle. This fabric will ship to shops in February this year. So, come back next month and see what I make with this gorgeous fat quarter bundle.
