Next Years QAL Themed Patterns

After taking a poll on patreon and asking my instagram followers, what should next year QAL theme be (monthly patterns)? The most votes went to mythical creatures! I asked about 3 others as well; those were "text/words", "animals" and "plants". The text and words had the lowest votes, which I wasn't too shocked about as text is not everyones favorite thing to piece. Plants were the next one with a low amount of votes but higher than text. This was a little shocking as I know the last several years it seemed to be a trend, but maybe thats been over done now. The runner up with a very close number of votes was animals. This was a surprise to me as my zodiac blocks had a lot of animals, but I mean the world has thousands of animals, so I could design animal blocks for years and probably still not cover them all. The last and final one, with the highest amount of votes was mythical creatures. I love mythical creatures. They remind me of my younger days, when I use to really love reading about mythology and Greece as well as Egypt and the pyramids etc. I was just so fascinated with those times and the creativity and stories.

So, where do I go from there. We have a theme, now how do I choose the creatures? I made a long list of creatures and started looking around for anything that caught my eye. I would actually love to hear what you all like and would love to see.

The list of creatures I could find or come up with are:

  1. Serpent

  2. Minotaur

  3. Cyclops

  4. Gargoyle

  5. Lochness Monster

  6. Medusa

  7. Basilisk

  8. Fairy

  9. Unicorn

  10. Centaur

  11. Mermaid

  12. Pegasus

  13. Dragon

  14. Griffon

  15. Phoenix

  16. Sphinx

  17. Pixie

  18. Hippogriff

  19. Kelpie

Well, thats all I could come up with but if you think of something else, please let me know in the comments below and I can add it to the list.

Now I do need 12 creatures total, so I need to make this list smaller. If you leave a comment with all your favorites this will help me out a ton. I love making patterns that I know you love and would want to make.

I do want to say thank you to all who have support me along the way with my QAL journey these last few years. It hasn't always been easy but I greatly appreciate that you all are here to be apart of it and support my small business. Be sure to let me know what you want to see in the future and what you love.

Stay safe, stay healthy and be kind.

Sarah
